
Rules may only be changed by league officers. All members and their respective parent/guardian may request to change any rule throughout the season. All suggestions will be reviewed by the coaches.
League Rules for 2015 Season

Our league’s name is 20th Century: Adult/Junior League.

Bowling will occur on Saturdays at 11:15am at AMF 20th Century Lanes.

Practice will begin at 11:00am.

Pre-bowling is permitted, ONLY if addressed in advance.

$ 15.00/week – $10/wk for lineage, $5/wk for ball

$ 10.00/week – Opt out from bowling ball (Optional)

SUBSTITUTE FEES - Should an adult substitute be used, the weekly fee will still apply.

All checks for weekly fees must be paid to “20th Century Lanes”

All checks for bowling ball payments must be made out to “Larry’s Pro Shop”

EARN-A-BALL Program Rules
-
Any youth bowler interested in earning a bowling ball MUST BE PRESENT for all 8 weeks of bowling, unless a scheduled pre-bowl occurs for the missed week. (Speak with William for clarification, as needed)

Season
-
Our season will include 8 WEEKS of bowling.

Season starts June 6th, 2015 and ends July 25th, 2015.

Should any date be affected by another scheduled event at 20th Century Lanes, the schedule will be adjusted accordingly and all bowlers contacted by League President via email or phone.

Bowler Etiquette
-
Bowlers should remain in the settee area for the duration of league. As always, bowlers are allowed to use the restroom between frames/ games.

Food and/or drinks are to be left on the tables in the concourse or the counter behind the bowler’s area. We entrust the parents to help enforce this rule.

No offensive language/clothing. No excessively baggy or revealing clothing please.

Bowlers are expected to maintain control of their belongings.

Handicap
-
Handicap for ALL bowlers shall be 100% of 160.

Pre-Bowl / Post-Bowl
-
Pre and Post bowling IS ALLOWED with prompt notice.
-
Post bowling must be noted and completed within 48 hrs of missed day.

Pre-bowling can be scheduled for all weeks, except WEEK 8.

Scoring
-
Teams will bowl a 4-point system: 1-point per game and 1-point for series.
-
NO POSITION ROUNDS
-
The league champion will be decided by the total wins at the conclusion of WEEK 8.
-

Should a tie in total wins occur on WEEK 8, the league champion will be determined by total scratch pin count.

League Setup
-
Youth bowlers will always start.
-
Bumpers will ONLY be used for the teams with bowlers under 7 years of age. Adults will need to bowl with the bumpers active.

Teams will NOT rotate lanes between frames.

Averages
-
All bowlers will establish a new average on Week 1.

Legal Line-up / Teams
-
Teams MUST be an ADULT and JUNIOR bowler.
-
At least one member must be present to constitute a legal line-up.
-
Teams will be set up PAIRS style; 2 members to a team.
-
A substitute ADULT bowler may be used, if the parent/guardian/adult of the pair is unable to bowl. Substitutes for JUNIOR bowlers will not be used. (See PRE-BOWL) NO PACERS WILL BE USED

Vacancy Score/ Absentee

Vacancy scores will NOT be used for any team missing a full roster.

Absentee bowlers will be set as “blind” on their team and an absentee score will be used.

The absentee score will be the absent bowler’s listed average minus 10 pins.

Tardy
-
Late bowlers will be allowed to join their games, pending the third frame has not been completed by the opposing junior bowler.

Should a team arrive AFTER the third frame is completed, their first game score will be their average less 10 pins each.

Bowlers arriving BEFORE THE SECOND GAME BEGINS will be allowed to bowl their remaining two games.

Any bowlers later than the second game will not be scored as a missed day. (See POST-BOWL)

Disciplinary Actions

Violations of rules or endangerment of other bowlers may result in disciplinary action, up to and including ejection from the facility.
